Mud Gas Separator

Description

Boban series Mud/Gas Separator is a piece of special equipment for degassing gas-invaded mud in the first grade. It is mainly used to remove big bubbles above φ3mm in diameter and these bubbles refer to expanded gases in the fluids that fill in some parts of well annulus. Well kick even spilling out to the rotary table will easily occur if they are not removed.

In dangerous “kick” conditions, the Mud Gas Separator allows operators to circulate the drilling fluid by removing large pockets of gas. The gas cut mud enters the flow line of the unit, where it hits a series of baffle plates. These baffle plates provide surface area fir the dispersion of the gas cut mud. The mud is routed to solids control equipment for further processing while the separated gas travels to the flare line at the top of the unit to be vented at a safe distance from the rig and rig personnel.

 6. The sulfur resistant mud gas separator is manufactured and processed entirely with special materials, which can completely prevent damage to the equipment caused by hydrogen sulfide in the gas.
