Description

The overhead crane is a core lifting device in drilling and well workover operations. Installed on top of the derrick, it is responsible for suspending and lifting heavy objects such as drill strings and casing. It employs a high-strength steel structure and precision pulley system design, featuring stable load capacity, strong fatigue resistance, and adaptability to harsh working conditions.

Materials and Manufacturing Process: Side plates are mostly made of high-strength alloy steel through welding or forging. The pulley surface undergoes wear-resistant treatment (such as carburizing or hard alloy spraying) to withstand long-term friction from the wire rope.

Safety Requirements: Must comply with API Spec 8C (Oil Drilling Rig and Workover Rig Specification), possessing impact and fatigue resistance, and must be equipped with overload protection devices.
